On 16 Jan 2011, the Singapore Heart Foundation together with a couple of organizations (Including my employer, ITE), organized the mass Citizen CPR Event at Expo Hall 7.
I attended the afternoon session, frankly since my NS have not touch CPR and back then never practice on the mannequin, haha. Did not register online so I joint the walk-in crowd. We are group in 7-8 and was lead to a instructor.
The instructor go through both the theory and practical aspect of CPR. We take turn practice on the mannequin as well. The feel of the mannequin is not as tough as a real subject but all of us does have a good work out.
After that we have a theory test of 10 multiple choices questions and a practical test. The above is my test subject! It was quite fun counting 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 10.... but if you get the technique wrong it can be very tiring. Use the body weight and not the arm muscle, the tester continuing remind us as we pump along.
Finally, the tester declare that we pass the Citizen CPR test! I hope that if the need arise I will be able to put what I have learn to use.
